2 Chronicles 28
2 Chronicles 29
2 Chronicles 30
Acts 14: At Iconium Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue. There they spoke so effectively that a great number of Jews and Greeks believed.
Do you see where Paul and Barnabas were teaching – the synagogue. Back in Acts 13 we see Paul tell the Jews in Antioch:
Acts 13: 46 Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles
I think Paul gives us a good example of evangelism. In Acts 14 he is in a new city, Iconium, and he is persistent in speaking to the Jews again. Just because he had been rejected in one location he did not “write off” the need to preach the gospel to all men elsewhere.
The message to me is “never, never give up” – continue to spread the Word of the Lord at each opportunity and to all people.
