In Paul’s instructions to Titus the word “teach” is used quite often – “teach” the older men; “teach” the older women; “teach” the young men. But I think Paul gives Titus an even more important instruction for a leader. Teaching is terrific, but setting an example is far more important and challenging:
Titus 2: 7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness 8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
