12/19/19: Revelation 10:1-11; Psalm 138:1-8; Proverbs 30:11-14
Luke 24: 45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
I lead with this scripture as in today’s Revelation reading I saw a similar command. This one is given to John . Revelation 10: 11 Then I was told, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.”
I find it interesting that at the very beginning of the church Jesus stated the importance of evangelizing to all nations. And in Revelation we see that same commandment continuing until the second coming of the Lord.
My takeaway — in today’s church are we also following this instruction in our daily interfaces with the people who come into our lives?
