12/23/19: Revelation 14:1-20; Psalm 140:1-13; Proverbs 30:21-23

Our reading in Revelation today reminded me of two precepts we, as believers need to keep at the forefront of our walk with the Lord — patience endurance in our faith and our ultimate reward:

Revelation 14:   12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus. 13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”

Sometimes the OT readings correspond really well with what we see in the NT passages. Today Zechariah 4:6 states “…not by strength or by might, but by My Spirit.” The only way we can be conquerors.
