9/9/19: 2 Corin. 11:1-15; Psalm 53:1-6; Proverbs 22:28-29
I think we can see from the readings in 2 Corinthians that one of Paul’s greatest fears was of the Body there falling into following false teachers. And one of his greatest instructions is for all believers to be aware that Satan has not and will never stop to strive to impact the kingdom of God.
And our role? To remain in the Word and carefully weigh the teachings we hear versus the inspired Word. This is our responsibility and our mission.
2 Corinthians 11: 12 And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. 13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
